Montrail Footwear One-Year Limited Warranty

What This Warranty Covers

The One-Year Limited Warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in footwear manufactured by Montrail. This includes defects that may occur under normal wear. Damage caused by misuse, abuse, accidents, the natural breakdown of materials over time, or problems that may be reasonably expected with normal wear or failure to follow care instructions are not covered by this Limited Warranty.

How Long This Warranty Lasts.

This Warranty lasts for one year from the date of purchase of your Montrail product. Coverage ends if you sell or transfer the product. Proof of purchase is required.

What We Will Do

The Warranty Department will inspect the product at no charge to you. If the Warranty Department determines, in its sole discretion, that the product has a defect covered under this Warranty, we will repair or replace it within approximately four weeks. During peak season, turnaround time can take up to six weeks.

How to Get Warranty Service

You may seek resolution directly through the retailer where you purchased the product. In many cases, the retailer will be able to assist you. For service through Montrail Warranty, please follow these instructions:

  1. Complete the warranty return form.

Please note:
  • Montrail has a scheduled systems upgrade and implementation that will impact the processing of warranty claims from March 15th to April 8th, 2014. Any warranty received during our systems upgrade and implementation will be subject to a 12-15 week turnaround time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions please contact us at 1-877-927-5649, Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 5pm PST.

  • Clean items prior to sending. All items received for inspection and/or repair must be clean as required by California State Regulation. Items received that are deemed insufficiently cleaned will be returned to the customer unprocessed.

  • Mark affected area with masking tape or a rubber band.

  • Shipping information: Customers are responsible for shipping items to Montrail. Montrail will cover the return shipping. Please ensure that you ship your product with a reputable carrier that can provide tracking information and proof of delivery. We highly recommend FedEx or UPS. Customers are responsible for their product until we sign for delivery. Montrail can not be held responsible for packages lost in transit. If expedited return shipping is desired, the customer will be required to pay the difference between ground and the expedited shipping cost.
