Gryptonite Trail (GT)
GT is non-marking and has great friction on a variety of trail surfaces, while being
hard and durable enough for high mileage uses.
Shoes with GT: Highlander
Hurricane Ridge XCR (fall ‘06 model)
Odyssey
Continental Divide
Susitna II
GT ensures traction with sharp lugs along the length of the outsole and under the
heel.
GS forefoot gives you extra grip on rock, especially when climbing or scrambling.

Gryptonite Smearing
GS is non-marking like GT but emphasizes friction over hardness. We combine it with
GT to deliver the best of both worlds: Stick on rock and fail-safe traction on trails.

Gryptonite High Test (HT)
HT has the highest friction coefficient of any climbing rubber available, with
an ideal combination of stickiness, hardness and abrasion resistance. Try these
tests.
The Edging test: Dig a fingernail into the sole and try to drag it along. Does
the rubber grab your nail securely or does it ooze slowly?
The Smearing test: Vigorously rub the soles agasint each other, then push them
together for a moment. When you pull them apart do the shoes stick together tenaciously, or
do they slip apart immediately?
The Ultimate test: Go climbing.
