Wow! Best lightweight hiker period.

Just got back from a backpacking trip to South San Juan Wilderness area in Colorado. These shoes well exceeded my expectations. I spent at least 12 hours a day in these shoes with a 30 pound pack through every condition imaginable. Soggy alpine meadows, rough alpine forest trails, rocky boulder fields above treeline, jumping from rock to rock across mountain streams and these kept my feet dry and comfortable the entire time. No hotspots, no blisters, and no discomfort. Grip on the sole was also very good even in wet conditions scrambling across streams. I can't say enough good about these shoes. Well thought out design and execution gives you just the features you need and nothing else. This was my first pair of Montrails, and I must say that I'm definitely a fan now. Great shoe!
