I'm sure this is the quickest review you've ever had but... I have literally had my Montrail Badrocks on for 5 minutes and let me just say that these are THEE most comfortable pair of shoes I have EVER owned. Period.!! They are true to size and unbelievably comfortable right out of the box. My only complaint is that they weren't suppose to be here until Jan 7th. They got here early! Thank you Montrail for a great product and customer service. I will right another review after I've had them on the trail. I can't wait!!!!

This is the first time that a write a shoe review, but this product worth the effort. This shoe not only provides a wide toe box for wide feet runners like me, but also have a great support and protection on technical trails.

I was looking for a shoe that gave me enough room in the forefoot, was not real heavy and durable to boot. I found it in the Badrock. I love this shoe and have already bought a second pair. It has proven itself on very rocky tough trails along with easier softer trails. This may be the last trail shoe I purchase. I does it all for me.

I'm a large man. I've taken to running to loose weight and I've been using New Balance and other big box store runners to run. Before long I always end up quitting because it's just to painful. I tried these shoes on at a local outdoor store just for the heck of it. Instantly I realized I'd never had a pair of shoes fit that well. I bought them and haven't taken them off since! I ran my first 10 KM's in them this week and have lost over 30 lbs in these babies. They are perfect for the road, gravel trails and especially muddy, rooty, hiking trails. Love them, will never buy another brand of shoes again!

I found great deal on this shoes at the local outdoor store and needed to replace my Cascadia 6 badly, and I heard the Badrock can be a good Cascade replacement/killer shoes, so I took my chance to try it out. Although it is already in March in PNW, the trail had 4 to 12 inches of unusual snow fall this morning. This can be a perfect to see the shoe's performance. I put on Drymax socks (but my feet will wet later in snow run) and start going 1200ft uphill for next 3.5 miles. The big toe box that is similar to Cascadia 4, 5, and 6, so my pinky toe is very happy after 13 miles of run. I am 5'10", 155 to 165 lb WT. range, and a mid foot striker. The forefoot of Badrock is very flexible and better than the post system on Cascadia. It was smooth transition of my underfoot weight from midfoot to forefoot that works downhill very well. The Fluid Post feels bit wired but I can get used to it.

Great shoe, took them through 4 ultras and all the training that goes along with with. I estimate my pair got about 700-800 miles on them before they were retired. Fluid post helped rehab through an arch injury. Good toe protection and ankle stability. Tread grips well with a few slips on dry/hardpack. Just ordered 2 more pair for 2012 race season!

So good, after 50 miles, my feet felt the same as before I started.

Took these bad boys (pun not intended) out on my local trails for their first few runs and they handled like a champ everything from stream crossings (quick draining) to hard packed singletrack, to sandy granite climbs and rutted out, root strewn descents. So far I can't find anything *Bad* about them.

the thing that impressed me about these shoes was the traction. they really gripped the road and trail. super light, and great support. i'd recommend.
