Namche Deputs on the Cover of Backpacker Magazine

Montrail's new Namche is named Best Fastpacking Boot for 2007. It’s shown on the cover of Backpacker's 2007 Gear Guide as a weekend favorite and is reviewed twice inside the magazine. Editor-in-Chief, Jonathan Dorn says it best in his In My Pack column, "Big miles are also easier thanks to shoes like this ultralight midcut, one of the smartest designs I’ve seen this year. It combines a surprisingly stiff upper collar for ankle support with a burly trail running platform that’s both fast and plushly cushioned..."

Backpacker’s elite testers called the Namche "an ultralight, ultrabreathable boot for anyone who doesn’t need waterproofing or simply wants more breathability. It has support for carrying up to 25 pounds, with solid traction on packed dirt, loose gravel, and slabs. Fit is best for medium-volume feet."

Two other Montrail hiking boots gain high praise: Blue Ridge earned positive reviews and Montrail's Java XCR is named Most Supportive Ultralight Boot.
