Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 5 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Superb trail- and road-running shoe Bought these for backcountry Rocky Mountain runs, and they meet and exceed my needs for strenuous trails, some roads and even bushwhacking on steep terrain. The traction is fantastic on rocks and in snow, slightly less good in mud. Many "trail" running shoes have fat, lug-type treads that can trip you up on unseen hazards. These treads are unobtrusive, but good and grippy. The cushioning also is superb. I would have liked a model that offered less heel- to-toe drop than the 8mm of FluidFeel II, but the happy compromise is that these do protect the heel on steep downhills, where heel-striking is unavoidable. The toe box is a little airy for extreme winter runs, but correctible with heavier socks; I'm really looking forward to taking these runners on hot summer trails. January 9, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Toe box is too tight Overall it's a very nice shoe, but the toe box is too narrow. The sizing is accurate, but they seem to jam everything too tight from the sides. I wish I could return these now. November 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by montrail makes the best running shoes! have been running in montrail now for nearly 12 years, but made the mistake of drifting back to an old shoe just to make a change...what a mistake! the new fluid feel corrected foot pain brought on by the change and my run times improved dramatically as a result. will never switch again, montrail makes the best running shoes! Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoe Bought these for trail running. Ran an 18 mile trail run, then hiked Mt Baldy in them. Very cushioned and comfortable, and I have had absolutely no foot or knee problems after wearing them. I've also worn them on the road, and they are equally comfortable. I find the fit roomy, which I like. i wear medium weight running socks with them. I liked them so much I bought two more pairs. October 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Support I bought these shoes about two months ago, and they feel great. I had foot pain before, and I hoped these shoes would have the support my feet would need. They delivered. Foot pain went away quickly, and I'm able to run, walk, and hike comfortably in these shoes. I should have bought two pairs.. September 15, 2014
