I use this for:
Standing and short-distance walking.

"firm arch" = high arch

I believe the Lithia Slides were designed for people with high-arched feet. While they succeeded in taking all the pressure off my metatarsals when walking in them, they did so at the cost of pressuring my plantar facia to the point where I began feeling pain after walking about fifty feet. The Lithia's upper strap was also a bit tight for the size 12 that I bought. So, if you have high-arched feet and want a great slide that will really make your feet feel a world better after a long day of walking, running or hiking... buy these. For those with medium arch (like myself) or flat feet... avoid this slide at all costs; your plantar facias will thank you for it.
